Blergh. That's one ugly Lex Cruiser. The headlights look crap with that huge inside bulb, the indicators and fog lights are totally out of proportion with eachother, it's got Predator Mouth and there are too many holes in the front.
DO NOT WANT

I think Lexus is overdoing the chrome on their grilles. There is no reason to keep the chrome going on the bottom half of the Spindle at it only makes it look tacky.

It looks even worse in white and in person.

Look, Lexus makes pretty decent cars, but they typically aren't pretty (I do like the LFA), but what's even more important is that every time you turn the key of a Lexus, a little bit of your soul is stripped away. This monstrosity will suck large amounts of your soul. Good grief is it ever horrid.

I think Lexus is just overdoing the whole thing.

That's not even gonna grow on me over time. Nope, won't.

It's too bad these crazy designs are overshadowing a serious off road vehicle.
body on frame, full time 4WD, High/Low transfer case, limited slip center diff, and Toyota's amazing Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, which can free up the front and rear stabilizer bars to match the terrain.

those are the biggest OEM mirrors I've ever seen on a car

Nah I think it could work with more subtlety. If the sketches of the LF-CC are to go by.

What the hell is Lexus thinking?

I think it looks like Mr. Grounded to the Ground.
You what they say, we like grills because they look like faces. Well, now we know where they get their facial inspiration.

They're thinking no one will stop talking about lexus if they keep ripping off predator for their grills. And they're right.

From a business standpoint, "good" design is whatever gets you coverage, sales, and controversy while costing the bare minimum necessary to create and produce.
That means that while for a company like Jaguar, good design is the F-Type, for a company like Lexus/Toyota, "good" design is giving a two year old a crayon and still negotiating the kid down in price for whatever efficient piece-of-crap the kid draws, rather than actually try to make something beautiful that would just get overlooked and completely overlooked.
I haven't met (yet) a Lexus owner who bought their car because of looks. Usually it's all because of recommendations, fuel economy, baseless reliability claims or ignorance of competitive models, or because they attended business school in the 90s, and that's what businessmen were supposed to drive.
Again, not that Lexus cars are bad, but it helps prove that buyers are attracted to the most complacent, average design, not the outstanding ones. It's sort of like "You don't want a better car! They cost more, they have all sort of little problems, right? Trust me, they do! You want a worse car that you don't have to worry about!"

They're either too boring or ugly. I've always thought of that actually.
Very few Lexus cars have caught my eye and I have said "Wow! That's a decent looking car! The 90s ES300s were decent and so were the facelifted 98-2000 LS430s.

Having been in a current-gen GX several times, it is a comfy place to be and good for passengers... however the 3rd seat legroom is lacking as well as the trunk space.
